The dogs were found with raw open, painful wounds both in and on their ears, the SPCA said. (Suffolk County SPCA) CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A Central Islip man and woman were charged after they failed to provide food, water, and medical care for three dogs, and left them outdoors in a heat advisory, Suffolk County SPCA said. Marthe Thelusma, 45, and Didier Castan, 45, were arrested on Thursday and charged with multiple misdemeanor charges including animal cruelty, the SPCA said. Detectives found the three dogs to be emaciated with their ribs showing and had raw open, painful wounds both in and on their ears.
