Charles F. Szydlowski, who served his community and his country, died Aug. 8, 2023 at the age of 92. His family described him as a 'humble, honest and hardworking man who lived and worked hard for his family, all his life.' Mr. Szydlowski was born Oct. 11, 1930 in Jamaica, Queens, the son of Thomas and Victoria Szydlowski who immigrated to the United States from Poland. The couple had four other children, Hedwig, Stella, Eddie and Michael who was killed in WWII in Germany and is buried in Belgium.
