The man was rescued by law enforcement, police said. (Shutterstock) WEST ISLIP, NY — A man who fell into the water after a West Islip car crash only received treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, thanks to Suffolk County law enforcement. At about 2:27 a.m. on Sunday, a 21-year-old Roosevelt man was involved in a motor vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of the Robert Moses Causeway Bridge, exited the vehicle and fell into the water. State Police were able to throw a line to the man until Marine Bureau Officers arrived at the scene.
