(Google Maps) TOWN OF ISLIP, NY — As Long Island enters into a string of high heat indexes, the Town of Islip will extend its beach and pool hours. The Town of Islip Bay Beaches and the Shipwreck Cove Spray Park at Bay Shore Marina will remain open until 7 p.m. on Thursday, the town said on social media . Casamento Pool, and Roberto Clemente Pool and Spray Park hours will also be extended, until 7:30pm.
