TOWN OF ISLIP, NY — The Town of Islip is warning residents about a fraudulent deed processing scam. Several community members recently received fraudulent deed processing notices via traditional mail, which suggests there has been a transfer of a Grant Deed or other title recorded in the recipient's name, and requests payment be made in order to receive a copy, the town said. The Town was later made aware of the notices.
