By Chris Boyle Published: August 18 2023 Robert Sutton is a retired Captain for the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) and currently serves as the Commissioner for the Central Islip Fire Department. Robert Sutton, a volunteer firefighter from Central Islip, NY, has been elected to the board of trustees of the Firefighters Home, a skilled-nursing home available to all New York volunteer firefighters through the Firefighters Association of the State of New York (FASNY). The announcement was made at the association's 151st annual convention in Niagara Falls which began on August 10.
